APPLICATION Practical Steps: 1. Identify one place where you are tempted to 'fit in' instead of standing out for your faith. 2. Pray for courage to choose what honors God, even if it is unpopular. 3. Talk with a friend or leader about where you need encouragement to stand strong. 4. Remember, God promises to be with you, whatever the outcome. Leader Note: Challenge students to take one specific step this week to stand out for Christ. Check in on their progress and celebrate their courage. CLOSE / CHALLENGE Standing out for God is never easy, but it is always worth it. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted God with their lives and found Him faithful in the fire. Charles Spurgeon wrote, 'To trust God in the light is nothing, but to trust Him in the dark—that is faith.' Gospel Tie-In: Jesus faced the ultimate fire on our behalf, standing alone so we would never be alone. Because of His courage and sacrifice, we can have faith that stands up and stands out.
Groups
1. Q1: Why did Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refuse to bow to the statue?
2. Q2: What does their statement “But even if He does not…” tell us about their faith?
3. Q3: How can we trust God’s presence in our own “fires” or challenges?
4. Q4: When have you experienced God’s presence during a difficult time?
5. Q5: 5. How can we develop a faith that remains strong, even when the outcome is uncertain?
